Welcome to Follow Steward. This Privacy Policy outlines our principles regarding the collection, use, and protection of your information when you use our mobile application ("App") and the associated website ("Service").
Our philosophy is simple: Your financial data is yours. We do not collect, view, or store the financial information you enter into the App, and we will never sell your information to anyone. By choosing to use Follow Steward, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Information Collection and Use
Follow Steward is designed to function primarily on your device.
- Data Stored Locally & iCloud Sync: All financial inputs, entries, and personal configurations are stored locally on your device. To provide a seamless experience across your devices, Follow Steward securely syncs this data using your personal Apple iCloud account. We do not have access to your iCloud account, nor do we have access to any of the data stored within it.
- Account Information: Follow Steward does not require you to create a separate account with us. We rely on your existing Apple ID for device syncing.
- Usage and Analytics Data: Currently, Follow Steward collects zero usage data. In the future, we may collect fully anonymized data related to how you interact with the app (such as feature usage or crash reports) strictly to help us improve functionality and squash bugs. This data will never be linked to your identity or your financial inputs.
3. Log Data and Crash Reports
If the App encounters an error or crash, we may collect anonymous data and information (either natively through Apple or via third-party developer tools) called Log Data. This Log Data may include generalized information such as your device model, operating system version, the time and date of the error, and the configuration of the App at the time of the crash. This data is entirely anonymous and used exclusively for development and app improvement.
4. Third-Party Services
Because Follow Steward relies on Apple's ecosystem to function securely, your data is subject to Apple's standard privacy and security protocols:
- Apple / iCloud Services: Used for secure data syncing and backups.
- App Store Services: Used for app distribution and standard Apple opt-in crash reporting.
If we integrate third-party tools in the future strictly for anonymized error logging or performance metrics, this policy will be updated to reflect those services. We will never use third-party services to broker or sell your data.
5. Security
We value the trust you place in Follow Steward. Because your personal and financial data is stored locally and synced via Apple's iCloud, the security of your data is heavily reliant on the security measures provided by your device and Apple. We recommend utilizing strong device passcodes and securing your Apple ID with two-factor authentication. While we design the App to be as secure as possible, remember that no method of electronic storage is 100% infallible.
6. Links to Other Sites
Follow Steward or its associated website may contain links to external sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of those websites, as we have no control over and assume no responsibility for their content, privacy policies, or practices.
7. Children’s Privacy
Follow Steward does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our development roadmap (such as integrating anonymous crash reporting). We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
